Euphoria Title Sequence

For one of my motion graphics projects I developed a title sequence inspired by the show Euphoria. My goal was to explore the shows visual aesthetics through movement to stimulate viewers interest in the show, as well as reflect the overarching theme of the show.

  • Combined specific design approaches to emphasize the overarching theme of the show.

  • Redesigned Euphoria’s title sequence through implementing their specific aesthetics.

  • Combine visual and audio components to enhance time based composition.

  • Communicated with others for ideas, critique, and inspiration.

  • Increased my experience in Adobe After Effects by applying numerous tools such as trim paths, adjustment layers, cameras, strokes, fonts and position key frames.

  • Utilized external sources for inspiration.

Pre-production

Project Brief - Idea 1

I composed a project brief to highlight how I was going to approach my desired goal. I also developed two specific concept ideas to explore.

Project Brief - Idea 2

Mood Boards

Mood Board - Concept 1

I created a mood board for my first concept to explore aesthetics and visual design such as specific fonts and colors.

Mood Board - Concept 2

I developed a mood board for my second concept idea to further explore specific video compositions I would employ during the sequence.

Design Boards

I also created design boards for each concept idea to dictate key moments I wanted to highlight during the composition. Creating design boards helped me further explore each concept to see if my idea was reasonable, and lined up with my desired goal for the project.

Production

After discussion with my professor and classmates I came to a consensus that my first concept idea would be the best route to take since it matched up with my expectations and goals for my desired outcome. I approached concept one in adobe after effects and further increased my skillset in creating title sequences.
